Welcome

“It is in the order to really see, to see ever deeper, ever more intensely, hence to be fully aware and alive, that I draw what the Chinese call ‘The Ten Thousand Things’ around me. Drawing is the discipline by which I constantly rediscover the world.

I have learned that what I have not drawn, I have never really seen, and that when I start drawing an ordinary thing, I realize how extraordinary it is”.

(Frederick Franck, ‘The Zen of Seeing’).

38- Digital Painting

Second attempt at doing a digitally painted caricature today. Doesn't look too much like the subject but definitely an improvement on the painting skills which was what I was aiming for, the likeness can come later.

A work in progress, supposed to be Pete Docter from Pixar. Might have to come back to this one!

36- Digital Painting (Photoshop)

Technically this was meant to be a speed painting but it took me several hours just to get this far! I was inspired after watching a couple of great tutorials by Court Jones. Hopefully I can take this particular painting on a bit further but for the moment I'm just trying to improve my painting technique with Photoshop.
